Frequently Asked Questions

How does live streaming work?
You stream your video footage over the Internet to our server and our server makes it possible for people around the world to watch your live video stream.

Where can I learn the basics of streaming with Sunday Streams?
We have created instructional videos that guide you through the basics of streaming with Sunday Streams. Some of these videos include an Introduction to Streaming, How to Embed Live Stream Code, How to Embed Archives Code, and How to Use Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder.

Will it be easy for visitors to watch our services online?
For most visitors it will be easy to watch your live stream because most people already have Flash player on their browser. Click here to see how easy it is to watch a test stream.

What equipment is necessary to broadcast our live stream?
You need a computer, an Internet connection, a video camera, and a video capture device (or an alternative way to get the video footage into your computer).

Can we embed our video stream on our own website?
Absolutely! We provide you with a few lines of code you can put on your website that enables your visitors to watch your broadcast on your own website.

Are we able to provide our visitors with on-demand viewing?
Yes, we have an on-demand feature which allows your visitors to watch and share archived footage of your services. Similar to live streaming, you can embed archives on your own website.

How long can we store our on-demand videos on your server?
Each $49 package allows you to store up to 20 GB of storage. If you broadcast at a typical bit rate of 360 Kbps, then 20 GB is around 120 hours of archived footage. You can also purchase archive boosts at $10 extra per month per boost and each boost gives you an additional 20 GB of storage.

What are Ticket IDs used for?
Ticket IDs are an option that only a small percentage of our clients utilize. Ticket IDs allow our clients to have control over who is able to watch their broadcasts. If you have a Ticket ID and want to watch your service then click here to enter your Ticket ID.

How much does it cost?
Our $49 per month package comes with more than enough bandwidth to handle typical church streaming needs. However, we offer other packages for larger needs. (Please see pricing info.)

Are there any advertisements placed on our broadcasts?
No, Sunday Streams is 100% ad free!

Do all features come with the $49 package?
Our $49 per month package comes with all the same features as our larger packages. The only limits have to do with peak bandwidth usage, overall monthly bandwidth usage, and storage space (see pricing info). The majority of our clients have their streaming needs met with our $49 per month package.

Am I limited with how often I can broadcast?
There are no limits on when and how often you can broadcast. You can broadcast on as many days and times as you want.

What if our church needs more bandwidth than what is provided by the $49 per month package?

However, we do offer a free 30-day trial so you can test out our system yourself at absolutely no cost. We have many satisfied clients with just some of their sentiments posted on our testimonials page. If you become one of our many happy customers, please email us your testimonial.

At what bit rate can I broadcast?
We recommend broadcasting at a bit rate of 360 Kbps and base our pricing on that bit rate (pricing info). However, you are welcome to broadcast at higher or lower bit rates depending on the Internet connection speeds of you and your visitors. Typical ranges our clients broadcast at are 250 Kbps to 500 Kbps.
