How does live streaming work?
You stream your video footage over the Internet to our server and our server makes it possible for people around the world to watch your live video stream.
Where can I learn the basics of streaming with Sunday Streams?
We have our online support knowledgebase at support.sundaystreams.com which has a Getting Started section that will guide you through the basics of streaming with Sunday Streams.
Can I view a sample broadcast video?
Yes, we have posted a few sample videos with different broadcast bitrates and screen resolutions. The vast majority of our broadcasters are able to broadcast at the quality seen on these videos or better.
Will it be easy for visitors to watch our services online?
For most visitors, it will be easy to watch your live stream on their computer on or iOS and Android mobile devices. Click here to see how easy it is to watch an actual broadcast sample stream.
Does your system support live and on-demand viewing of archived broadcasts with iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod) and Android mobile devices that don't have Flash?
The Sunday Streams platform supports both live broadcasts and on-demand videos for Apple iOS as well as Android devices via our HTML5 players. Also included with all our packages are native iOS and Android apps which can provide your mobile viewers with even better compatibility, faster loading speeds, and a more intuitive interface.
What equipment is necessary to broadcast our live stream?
You need a computer, an Internet connection, a video camera, and a video capture device (or an alternative way to get the video footage into your computer). Alternatively, you can use a streaming hardware solution or even a mobile phone/table broadcast device to stream your broadcasts.
Can we embed our live video stream and our on-demand archives on our own website?
Absolutely! We provide you with a few lines of code you can put on your website that enables your visitors to watch your live and archived broadcast on your own website.
How long can we store our on-demand videos on your server?
We don't limit the length of time you can store your archives for, but our $49 package allows you to store up to 100 GB of archives, and the $79 package comes with 300 GB of archives storage.
What are Ticket IDs used for?
Ticket IDs are an option that only a small percentage of our clients utilize. Ticket IDs allow our clients to have control over who is able to watch their broadcasts.
How much does it cost?
Over 95% of our clients have their live streaming needs met with our $49/month or $79/month live streaming packages. Most of our clients don't pay a penny more than $49/month! Does it cost extra to receive technical support?
All our packages come with free phone and email support. We also provide free support during your 30-day free trial (sign up).
Are there any setup fees?
There are no setup fees. We have a free 30-day trial (sign up), so it costs you nothing to start streaming.
Are there any contracts or long term commitments with your streaming service?
There are no contracts or long term commitments with our streaming service. You can pay monthly for your service and can cancel at any time.
Are there any advertisements placed on our broadcasts?
No, Sunday Streams is 100% ad free!
Do all features come with the $49 package?
Our $49 per month package comes with all our features including apps, Roku, and a website, but you would need to upgrade to the $79 per month package for customized apps and Roku and a custom domain website.
Am I limited with how often I can broadcast?
There are no limits on when and how often you can broadcast. You can broadcast on as many days and times as you want. The only limitation is that we temporarily turn off the recording feature for clients who repeatedly broadcast continuously for more than 12 hours in a row.
What if our church needs more bandwidth than what is provided by the $49 per month package?
Most of our clients don't pay a penny more than $49/month, but we have a very client-friendly way to transition you into a larger package. The $79/month package comes with four times the amount of bandwidth as the $49/month package!
Is Sunday Streams only for churches?
We specialize in meeting the needs of churches and other faith-based organizations. However, we are happy to provide our services to clients with similar streaming needs.
Could you provide us with a list of references?
Similar to cell phone companies, cable companies, hosting companies, and Internet service providers, we don't provide a list of clients as references. However, we do offer a free 30-day trial so you can test out our system yourself at absolutely no cost. A handful of our clients have given us permission to show show samples of their broadcasts. We have many satisfied clients with just some of their sentiments posted on our testimonials page. If you become one of our many happy customers, please email us your testimonial.
How can I find out about all the features you offer?
Our Features page and our What's New page highlight the main features we offer. We also have a free 30-day trial so you can experiment with all of our features.
Does your system use Flash?
Our system uses Flash which most people already have installed on their computer. We also offer HTML5 support for iOS and Android mobile devices that don't use Flash.
Can your system integrate with our existing video system?
It is usually very easy to split off an output feed from an existing video system. During your free trial (sign up), we would be happy to help you figure out the wire or adapter you may need.
At what bit rate can I broadcast?
If you are new to streaming, we recommend broadcasting at a bit rate of 500 Kbps; however, you are welcome to broadcast at higher or lower bit rates depending on the Internet connection speeds of you and your visitors. Typical ranges our clients broadcast at are 500 Kbps to 2000+ Kbps.
What encoders can we use to broadcast?
Sunday Streams is compatible with a number of encoders such as our own Sunday Streams Live Encoder (free use with all packages and free trials), Wirecast, Tricaster, VidBlaster, Flash Media Live Encoder, and other Flash capable encoders. We also offer our Easy Encoder which is an easy to use web-based encoder that is included with all of our packages and free trials.
What size video players are available?
You now have the ability to select whatever custom size you want for your player windows embedded on your website.
Does your system support both Mac and PC viewers?
Yes, our system works with both Mac and PC viewers.
